Frequently asked questions

The essentials about bespoke neoprene, the house and where to meet it.

What is a bespoke neoprene wetsuit?

A bespoke neoprene wetsuit is made from your own measurements and how you use it, with a unique pattern. At Boucan Chapacan, every piece is handmade in France, for a perfect cut and complete freedom of movement.

Where does Boucan Chapacan operate?

Everywhere: in France, on the French Riviera, in Monaco and internationally on request. We travel aboard your yacht or to your home to take measurements.

Who is the founder?

Émilie Allard, a made-to-measure couturière for over 25 years (qualified in 1998). Boucan Chapacan is the first couture house dedicated to bespoke neoprene.

Can the wetsuit be personalised?

Yes, fully: colours, finishes, logo, yacht name or first name. Collections exist for individuals, families, crew and professionals, and guests.

What are the lead times?

Lead times vary with the season and the level of personalisation. They are confirmed during the first conversation, after measurements are taken.

How do I book an appointment?

Through the appointment form or the Contact page. I reply to every request within 48 working hours.

Where can I meet Boucan Chapacan in 2026?

At the season's major nautical events: the Cannes Yachting Festival, Monaco Yacht Show, Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez and the Genoa International Boat Show.
